Yesterday it tolled for Peter Strzok. Most everyone assumed it was over text messages.
What if it actually was because Strzok colluded with John Brennan?
What gives us this idea?
Anyone with the patience to be within ten paces of one of my rants knows I figured out it was Brennan behind the Russiagate frame up job about this time a year ago.
“Russiagate was created by CIA director John Brennan.
The CIA started what is called ‘Russiagate’ in order to prevent Trump from being able to normalize relations with Russia. The CIA and the military/ security complex need an enemy in order to justify their huge budgets and unaccountable power. Russia has been assigned that role.
The Democrats joined in as a way of attacking Trump. They hoped to have him tarnished as cooperating with Russia to steal the presidential election from Hillary and to have him impeached. I don’t think the Democrats have considered the consequence of further worsening the relations between the US and Russia.
The neoconservative ideology of US world hegemony requires the principal goal of US foreign policy to be to prevent the rise of other countries that can serve as a restraint on US unilateralism. This is the main basis for the hostility of US foreign policy toward Russia, and of course there also is the material interests of the military/ security complex.”
“Mr. Brennan’s lying and recent conduct, characterized by increasingly frenzied commentary, is wholly inconsistent with access to the Nation’s most closely held secrets and facilitates the very aim of our adversaries, which is to sow division and chaos. More broadly, the issue of Mr. Brennan’s security clearance raises larger questions about the practice of former officials maintaining access to our Nation’s most sensitive secrets long after their time in Government has ended.
Such access is particularly inappropriate when former officials have transitioned into highly partisan positions and seek to use real or perceived access to sensitive information to validate their political attacks. Any access granted to our Nation’s secrets should be in furtherance of national, not personal, interests.”
“Security clearances — how people can access them, and how they’re revoked — are governed by a 1995 executive order issued by Bill Clinton. There are certain guidelines under which clearances can be revoked, and the executive order requires an explanation in writing, specifying why in those instances.
One thing to understand — because I’m sure people are already saying, “This is a violation of their First Amendment rights and they’ll sue” — they have no basis. There’s a Supreme Court precedent from 30 years ago that restricts federal judges from handling security clearance appeals. This really is the power of the executive branch. And it’s an unchecked power at this stage.”
“There’s more than meets the eye to President Donald Trump’s decision to revoke the security clearances ex-CIA Director John Brennan enjoyed as a courtesy customarily afforded former directors. The President’s move is the second major sign Brennan is about to be hoist on his own petard.
It is one embroidered with rhetoric charging Trump with treason and, far more important, with documents now in the hands of congressional investigators showing Brennan’s ringleader role in the so-far unsuccessful attempts to derail Trump both before and after the 2016 election.”
“Brennan knew he was treading on a political minefield. He referred to the FBI/ CIA’s spying on the Trump campaign as an ‘exceptionally, exceptionally sensitive issue.’ That helpful crumb comes from Russian Roulette, the book by David Corn and Michael Isikoff.
Brennan understood there would be hell to pay if it came out Hillary partisans in the U.S. government were spying on her opponent’s campaign, making use of opposition research she had purchased. But Brennan, who was auditioning to be Hillary’s CIA director and choking on his anger at the thought of Trump as president, couldn’t help himself apparently.
From April 2016 to July 2016, according to leaked stories in the British press, he assembled a multi-agency taskforce that served as the beginnings of a counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign. During these months, he was “personally briefing” Obama on “Russian interference” — Brennan’s euphemism for spying on the Trump campaign — and was practically camped out at the White House. So in all likelihood, Obama knew about and had given his blessing to Brennan’s dirt-digging.
The FBI’s liaison to Brennan was Peter Strzok, whose hatred for Trump equaled Brennan’s. But even Strzok knew Brennan was blowing smoke about Trump-Russian collusion. Strzok would later tell his mistress he sensed the probe would prove a crock — “there’s no big there there.”
What’s valuable about the Corn/ Isikoff account is it inadvertently provides a picture of Brennan running an anti-Trump spying operation right out of Langley. Even after the FBI probe formally began in July 2016, Brennan was bringing CIA agents, FBI officials, and NSA officials into the same room at CIA headquarters to pool their anti-Trump hunches.
To give these meetings a patina of respectability, Brennan invoked the post-9/11 rationale of interagency cooperation. Their political import is still unmistakable.”
Why’s this a big deal?
Well, the CIA is not supposed to spy on American citizens here on American soil. The CIA is supposed to spy on foreigners in foreign lands. The FBI has the jurisdiction to look at Americans. They’re not supposed to each have one hand on the same set of binoculars. Brennan and Strzok obviously did, and they were aimed at Donald Trump.
“Central Intelligence Agency. Because of the excessive secrecy surrounding CIA operations, little is known about its domestic activities. In its 1947 charter, the CIA was prohibited from spying against Americans, in part because President Truman was afraid the agency would engage in political abuse. But the law didn’t stop the CIA from spying on Americans.
During the 1960s, in clear violation of its statutory mission to co-ordinate foreign intelligence operations only, the CIA ventured into the domestic spying business through “Operation Chaos,” in which it spied on as many as 7,000 Americans involved in the peace movement.
Unfortunately, the exposure of intelligence failings before the 9/11 attacks caused policy makers to promote “information sharing” among intelligence and law enforcement agencies as a cure-all, creating the likelihood the CIA would increasingly operate domestically.”
Why is this a bigger deal?
Well, John Brennan of the CIA and the Democratic party collaborated to rig the election and/or end Donald Trump’s administration through their Russiagate investigation. Yelling, “Russia did it!” is projection.
We already knew Hillary Clinton and the DNC rigged the Democratic Primary
“We voluntarily could have decided (we aren’t even going to pretend to hold a primary to nominate the Democratic party 2016 presidential candidate, and instead said), ‘Look, we’re gonna go into back rooms like they used to and smoke cigars and pick the candidate that way,’” Bruce Spiva, lawyer for the DNC, said during a court hearing in Carol Wilding, et al. v. DNC Services Corp., according to court filings
We already knew “within 24 hours of Clinton’s concession speech, top officials gathered to engineer the case the election wasn’t entirely on the up-and-up, and already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.”
We already knew “an extraordinary number of former intelligence and military operatives from the CIA, Pentagon, National Security Council, and State Department are seeking nomination as Democratic candidates for Congress in the 2018 midterm elections. The potential influx of military-intelligence personnel into the legislature has no precedent in US political history.”
C’mon now. This isn’t a surprise. The CIA is known the world over for rigging elections. We just don’t think about them throwing their weight on domestic ones.
Russia knows about the US rigging their elections.
Iran knows about the US rigging their elections.
Korea knows about the US rigging their elections.
Apparently overthrowing governments and putting your own puppet in charge doesn’t work out so well for the US. If it did, how come America still has these same countries at the top of our next-in-line-to-blow-up list?
Guess what else?
John Brennan’s CIA hacked Senate computers.
Oh yes he did. And he apologized for lying about it too.
Sound familiar? Computer hacking.
The whole Russiagate saga is beginning to sound like another sequel, isn’t it?
And the Senate wasn’t the only computers Brennan’s CIA hacked.
“The CIA got hold of the legally protected email and other unspecified communications between whistleblower officials and lawmakers this spring, people familiar with the matter told McClatchy. It’s unclear how the agency obtained the material.”
We already know John Brennan lied to Congress about Russiagate and the Steele Dossier‘s role in its inception.
Seems like yesterday, the Washington Post was calling for Obama to fire John Brennan.
Oh yes they did. Seems he didn’t want folks to know what a big fan of torture he is.
Today, the Washington Post writes a fan letter to John Brennan, which sounds like something right out of Teen Vogue.
Oh yes they did. God Bless the Deep State!
“God bless them. With a supine Congress unwilling to play the role it is assigned by the Constitution, the deep state stands between us and the abyss.”
Mmm… hmmm. Now I’m too white to be calling anyone an “Uncle Tom.” So I won’t go there. But I will ask Eugene Robinson – African American author of that WP fan letter – whether he knows what his beloved Deep State really does with black people. You know, the “uppity Negroes” who dare cause trouble.
Do you know, Eugene Robinson?
Frederick Douglass knew. Everyone involved in the Civil Rights Movement knew.
Many Americans have made the mistake of believing the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Believing in it so hard, it makes one profess love for your frenemy from the tallest rooftop.
Yes, Trump is crazy and stupid, but so is anyone who loves them some CIA/ FBI/ NSA alphabet soup. Be careful what you wish for…
The FBI “specifically targets black people” through operations such as COINTELPRO and then these black people go to prison and never come out.
The FBI sent a package of the sex tapes from surveillance of Martin Luther King prepared by the FBI’s lab technicians, along with this letter urging him to kill himself to King’s home. The package was opened by King’s wife.
Did the also FBI take part in the conspiracy to assassinate Martin Luther King? I don’t know. This court verdict says they did:
“THE COURT: In answer to the question did Loyd Jowers participate in a conspiracy to do harm to Dr. Martin Luther King, your answer is yes. Do you also find that others, including governmental agencies, were parties to this conspiracy as alleged by the defendant? Your answer to that one is also yes. And the total amount of damages you find for the plaintiffs entitled to is one hundred dollars. Is that your verdict?
THE JURY: Yes (In unison).”
He didn’t much help our first black president either. John Brennan talked Obama into assassinating people with drones. Brennan told us US drone strikes don’t kill any civilians. Just the people on his kill list.
Torture. Drones. Assassinations. Lies. Hacks. All on John Brennan’s head.
“Trump’s attempts to improve the relationship with Russia was the “one ray of light” in his otherwise ‘train wreck’ presidency.”
“If Trump is actually being blackmailed by Russia, as Brennan implies, what evidence is there for this? One might reasonably conclude Brennan and his associates are actually angry because Trump has the temerity to try to improve relations with Russia.
It is ironic when President Trump finally does something right, he gets assailed by the same crowd that piles on when he does something stupid.
Leading to the conclusion unless The Donald is attacking another country, when he is lauded as becoming truly presidential, he cannot ever win with the inside the Beltway Establishment crowd. Brennan and a supporting cast of dissimulating former intelligence chiefs opposed Trump from the git-go and were perfectly willing to make things up to support Hillary and the status quo she represented.
It was, of course, a status quo that greatly and personally benefited that ex-government crowd which by now might well be described as the proverbial Deep State.”
Ask not for whom the bell tolls, John Brennan. It tolls for thee.
