It is highly probable the British government got the idea for the never-ending Novichok saga from TV. Yes, TV. This show called Strike Back. Here it is:
For 20 years, nobody heard of Novichok. Then in Nov 2017, a Russian scientist used it to kill his colleagues on a UK TV drama. Just weeks later, the UK alleged Novichok was used on the Skripals.
Yes. That is what I am saying. Just as Trump gets his ideas from watching Fox News on TV, so the British government got their Novichok idea from watching this Strike Back TV show.
Novichok is Raid. It Kills People Dead.
Do you remember when Novichok was the most deadly of substances, many times more powerful than VX or Sarin, and causing death in seconds? But then, when that needed to be altered to fit the government’s Skripal story, they found scientists to explain that actually no, it was pretty slow acting, absorbed gradually through the skin, and not all that deadly.
No one besides Andrei Zheleznyakov has been confirmed to have encountered a Novichok agent. The soviet chemical weapons scientist was poisoned by Novichok in a lab accident. He died after the nerve agent gutted Zheleznyakov’s central nervous system, after battling cirrhosis, toxic hepatitis, nerve damage, and epilepsy.
It is inexplicable the public was not immediately informed of a new occurrence of a “nerve agent” in the Wiltshire area. If, as we are made to believe, the two persons – Dawn Sturgess and Charlie Rowley – picked up “Novichock” somewhere in a park, a warning to the public should have been the very next step. There was obviously a high risk others might also make contact with the same substance. That no public warning was given lets me assume the truth is somewhat different than the (censored) official story.
Since the Skripals mysteriously recovered from a “nerve agent ten times stronger than VX” and the police released a hostage video of Julia Skripalthey vanished from the scene. Likewise nothing was since heard of the policeman who also fell ill at that time and recovered a few days later.
No explanations have been given for the myriad of misleading and contradicting claims the British government made about the Skripal case. Now we are getting a public rerun of the whole affair with a case which seriousness was obvious early on but which was censored for four days without giving any reason.
What happened during these four days? Who (de-)briefed the notorious Sam Hobson, the “friend of the couple”, who now speaks of a “nerve agent”? Is he allowed to truthfully say what he saw and did or does he have a different role in this story?
I doubt that the currently presented version of Saturday’s incident is more valid than the fairy tales we were told about the Skripal case.
But what is it that really happened here?
And of course, because all roads lead back to RussiaGate, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump, guess what?
Sergei Skripal, Christopher Steele (the same Hillary Clinton paid to compile the Steele Dossier), and handler Pablo Miller, all worked for British intelligence M16, as well as for Steele’s intelligence service called Orbis.
No one has spoken to Sergei Skripal since his release from hospital. Nor do we know where he and his daughter are being held. Moreover, the government’s very first act on the poisoning was to ban all media mention of Pablo Miller. It has been very plain from day one that there is a D notice on Pablo Miller.
It extremely probable this whole incident is related to the Trump dossier and Skripal had worked on it. The most probable cause is Skripal – who you should remember had traded the names of Russian agents to Britain for cash – worked on the dossier with Miller, and now was threatening to expose its lies for cash.
Where is the evidence? I seem to be the only person alive with no clue as to who has poisoned four people in Wiltshire.
Why during the build-up to the highly politicized World Cup in Russia? I am at a loss to see what motive the Kremlin might have to commit murders on foreign soil during the buildup, let alone the enactment, of a sporting event that is of mammoth chauvinist significance to Russia.
Why would the same person(s) want to kill a couple, unconnected to the Skripals, in an Amesbury housing development? The most obvious motive for these attacks would surely be from someone out to embarrass the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. But once again, we have no clue.
As it is, all we can see are the devious tools of the new international politics. We see the rush to judgment at the bidding of the news agenda. We see murders and terrorist incidents hijacked for political gain or military advantage. Ministers plunge into Cobra bunkers. Social media and false news are weaponized.
So too are sporting events. The plea “politics should be kept out of sport” is as hopeless as demanding the exclusion of corruption and fraud. Politics are a team sport now. Sport is the most flagrant.
Since Moscow vigorously denies any involvement, it is hard to see how the Russians would now “explain.” Since I have not a smidgen of an answer to any of these questions,
I feel no need to capitulate to the politics of terror and fear. I can open my front door without cleaning my hand. I can visit Wiltshire in peace and safety and marvel at the spire of Salisbury Cathedral.
Keep in mind, the UK government lab is not able to identify the source of the chemical used in the poisoning. Time to call Heisenberg!
Gary Aitkenhead, the chief executive of the government’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), said it was not possible for scientists alone to say precisely where the novichok had been created: “We have not verified the precise source, but we have provided the scientific information to the government, who have then used a number of other sources to piece together the conclusions that they have come to. It is our job to provide the scientific evidence of what this particular nerve agent is, we identified that it is from this particular family and that it is a military grade, but it is not our job to say where it was manufactured.”
Keep in mind, the The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons regulatory lab is not able to determine the source of the chemical used in the poisoning. The OPCW statement contains no mention of Russia, or any other countries.
Keep in mind, OPCW has no definition of what “Novichok” actually is which explains why in the report linked above, the OPCW not only does not mention “Russia.” The OPCW doesn’t mention “Novichok” either.
Therefore, the British government has presented no scientific evidence the Russians had anything to do with the recent poisonings of these 4 people in the UK. It may not be possible for these labs or any labs to determine its origin.
This lack of evidence has in no way hindered UK leaders Boris Johnson and Theresa May from publicly jumping to conclusions as they made statements blaming Putin and the Russian government:
Boris Johnson: “When I look at the evidence, the people from Porton Down, the laboratory… they were absolutely categorical, I mean, I asked the guy myself, I said, ‘are you sure?’ and he said ‘there’s no doubt.’ And so, we have very little alternative but to take the action that we have taken.”
Theresa May: “The Government has concluded that it is highly likely Russia was responsible for the act against Sergei and Yulia Skripal. Should there be no credible response (from Russia), we will conclude that this action amounts to an unlawful use of force by the Russian State against the United Kingdom.”
Vladimir Putin: If Novichok was used, I think that if, as our British colleagues claim, a weapons-grade poison had been used, that person would be dead on the spot. Combat chemicals are so strong that the person either dies immediately or within seconds, maybe minutes,”
Wars have been started using less as an excuse.
